Planful Perform 2022 is right around the corner. This will be the second Perform where I’ve presented and I know my way around this great conference for finance, accounting, and FP&A professionals.
You should register today to save your spot and start preparing to connect, collaborate and learn why finance is truly a team sport. Perform is happening in person May 23-25 at ARIA Resort in Las Vegas.
Perform 2022 will have over 30 hours of live content, office hours with finance, FP&A, and accounting technology experts, one-on-one time with Planful executives, and so much more. I’m excited to get back to an in-person event for the first time in years, especially because Perform 2022 has over 10 hours of scheduled networking events where we can finally connect, chat, and interact, together! Additionally, I was able to get the inside scoop on the closing night party at ARIA’s JEWEL Nightclub and it’s going to be FIRE. 🔥🔥🔥
What I most like about Perform is how it differs from other finance, FP&A, and accounting industry conferences, especially with its engaging and interactive sessions led by real finance and accounting practitioners like myself. It’s an event where you’re with your industry peers, and that makes it easier to connect with and understand each other.
Perform also offers the chance to hear from visionary industry leaders, like Planful’s CEO, Grant Halloran, other Planful executives, and Planful partners. You’ll come away with actionable strategies you can execute on as soon as you get back to your desk. Also, if this hasn’t completely convinced you yet, I’ll be presenting on two topics that you don’t want to miss!
Since we’re all a bit out of practice on in-person conferences, here are a few tips to help you get the most out of this premier finance and accounting event.
Getting Perform 2022 on your schedule now gives you plenty of time to get those commitments and forecasts ready before the event creeps up on you. Register now using promo code PERFORMORTEGA to 30% off!
Let’s be honest, having your projects at a good place before coming to learn, engage, and interact is well worth it! It takes the stress off and lets you focus on the sessions and speakers. For reference, Perform 2022 has a convenient and efficient 9-to-5 Pacific Time schedule on May 24 and 25 (with an extended evening party on the 25th – more below!), and a shorter afternoon-only schedule for May 23, when Planful training sessions will take place.
Another benefit of early registration is that you’ll be up to date on news, additions, and changes to the conference speakers and schedule. It’s hard to keep up with social media updates, so getting alerts directly in your inbox helps you focus on your targeted sessions.

Perform 2022 has a great keynote speaker on May 24 with Shark Tank’s Barbara Corcoran. There are many sessions which will be led by Planful customers. Planful product experts will showcase how finance and accounting teams can gain speed, agility, and focus. Finance, FP&A, and accounting thought leaders will explore topics around business and financial transformation that will be practical guides and help you start providing value immediately.
In other words, there’s a lot to see and you can’t see it all. So focus on the sessions which will give you the knowledge, training, and insights you need. Dig into the schedule early and keep up with additions and changes so you don’t miss anything.

The sessions you choose to attend should answer a strategic question or that help you better understand areas you’re curious about. Before you attend, jot down a few questions to ask. When you’re there, take notes. It’s easy to forget key points, ideas, or recommended resources, so write them down.
If you’d like to meet one-on-one with a Planful expert while you’re at Perform 2022, book your office hour here.
Also while you’re at Perform, make an effort to engage in the conversation when the speaker asks questions or when you’re networking with other attendees. Perform is all about giving you the insights, education, and connections you need to take back to your organization to increase your value and impact. Make the most of it by taking part in the discussions.
Your time is precious so Planful won’t waste it. I know from experience that Perform is run on point. Sessions start on time and they’re packed full of great information. Speakers usually take up the entire allotted time, so I recommend getting to sessions early. Also, it’s ok to sit in the front!
While you’re in a session, remember to hit “do not disturb” on your phone and block off your calendar with “busy” appointments during the entire event. I don’t want you to be that person who interrupts a session with your Jay-Z ringtone. Also, that email from sales can wait; they’ll be alright.
In-person networking seems like an entirely new concept after two years of virtual events and video meetings. It’s ok to do it your way, and any way that keeps you comfortable is totally acceptable. Wear a mask. Elbow bump instead of shaking hands. Have a bottle of hand sanitizer in your pocket. Keep up the six-foot distancing. Do what makes you feel safe and comfortable, and respect whatever makes others feel comfortable, too.
Most of all, remember to listen, reflect, and connect, since Perform 2022 is all about being Better, Together. We all want to hear each others’ stories so have some conversation starters at the ready. My favorite is, “What’s the most critical issue for your finance team in 2022?” It gets people thinking and is wide open, not just a yes/no question. Have a few at the ready for the 10-plus hours of networking at Perform 2022.
Register now for Perform 2022! It takes just a few seconds and if you’ve read this far, use promo code PERFORMORTEGA to get a discount on your Perform ticket.
The sooner you register, the sooner you can reserve the time on your calendar, get to work on projects you need to finish before the event, and start to think about your engagement with the speakers and Planful team. Lastly, Planful Perform is all about making this experience your own. Get ready to learn, network, and engage and leave the rest to Planful. We got you!
