Host Analytics Introduces ApplicationLink for Oracle Hyperion

Cloud-based EPM Leader Enables Hybrid EPM for Large Enterprises

Announcement

Redwood City, CA – Mar 10, 2015 –

Host Analytics, the leader in cloud-based enterprise performance management (EPM), today announced the launch of Host Analytics ApplicationLink for Oracle Hyperion, an industry-first technology that enables bi-directional interoperability between the company’s cloud-based EPM suite and Oracle Hyperion. The new capabilities from Host Analytics are available today as an integrated part of its overall EPM solution. For more information on ApplicationLink, visit http://www.hostanalytics.com/infographics/moving-to-the-cloud-with-hybrid-epm.

The Host Analytics ApplicationLink technology seamlessly moves data and artifacts like metadata, templates and dimensions between the Host Analytics cloud-based EPM environment and Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) as well as Hyperion Planning. ApplicationLink is designed for companies that currently use Oracle Hyperion applications but need the flexibility and agility of Host Analytics cloud-based EPM suite. Typically, the need arises in conjunction with an acquisition or divisional deployment of new EPM capabilities that need to work with the legacy on-premises Hyperion instance at corporate. Host Analytics excels in these situations because it delivers complete EPM functionality of Hyperion’s EPM applications, but can be implemented at a fraction of the time and cost.

“Cloud EPM adoption is accelerating at a staggering pace. While some organizations are ready to replace Oracle Hyperion with Host Analytics, we realize that many of these organizations want to quickly leverage the advantages of the cloud without disrupting existing systems in the short-term,” said Lance Walter, CMO at Host Analytics. “ApplicationLink automates integration in these hybrid deployments, rapidly delivering the benefits of Host Analytics at a fraction of the time and cost of legacy solutions.”

Leading analyst firms have recognized that finance is now moving to the cloud, creating the need for a hybrid model for companies using legacy on-premises solutions like Oracle Hyperion.

Gartner recently stated that, “Within five years, new on-premises Corporate Performance Management (CPM) implementations will be the exception rather than the rule. The cloud is changing how CPM solutions are implemented and extended for large and midsize enterprises, and this must be understood by IT and CPM strategists.” Gartner also indicated that by 2016, at least 25% of enterprise finance organizations (up from 18% to 20% today) will move to the cloud for specific CPM processes, and many will use a hybrid approach through a combination of cloud and on-premises solutions.1

For those organizations ready to make a full transition from Oracle Hyperion to the cloud, Host Analytics recently introduced a special migration program. The program allows for migrating companies to get full EPM functionality implemented in 25% of the time at a fraction of the cost. According to a recent survey by Radius Global Market Research, 20-30 percent of organizations using Oracle Hyperion plan to make a switch to an alternative solution within the next year.
